I have been planning this trip for quite sometime now and I really want to take off on another journey around Australia.

And now that I have BeautUtes.com and such a big membership, it would be a fantastic way to finally meet and greet with all of you members!

I hope by early 2008, I will be out of the Navy and have my ute prepared for the fantastic journey around Oz.

To pay my way around Oz, I will be selling my merchandise, and not giving it away for free... like I am known to do .

Anyhow I would really love to meet my members, and am asking for places to stay along the way... so if you guys are interested, please let me know here if you could put me up for a night or three! I will earn my keep if required and I am a clean bloke!

I also may have my dog with me, Cloggs my Jack Russel or may get a new dog ... I definately want my best mate with me for the journey.

I am also hoping to do the odd job here and there, and will have a few new licences and tickets by the time I leave the Navy... at the moment I only have my forklift ticket ... I have done an apprenticeship in cooking, but I am over catering, but managed a club for a few years.... so thats a possibility.

In anycase, I would love to get my hands dirty, especially to work on a farm or cattle station for a while, get some horse experience and maybe mustering experience etc.

I am heading East first, cause I gotta see my SA Mates first, then to Victoria, maybe Tassie, then NSW, QLD, Northern Territory, The Alice, and so on, and of course I will be at the 2008 Deni Ute Muster.

I am already buying stuff for my ute, just spares and stuff at the moment.

I am also getting a custom made canopy and ute boxes made up for my ute, new carpet, car fridge etc as well.

So basically if you would like to catch up, invite me to your ute musters and so forth, I would love to meet you all.

I luurve photography, so my ultimate goal on this journey will be to take nice photos of my Members and their Utes, the more Aussie the better.... because I am planning on getting a nice coffee table book published on Utes ... not like Alan Nixons Beaut Utes books, which are great, but something with nice glossy photos, a big book, full of real dinkum di aussies and their utes ... similar to those Australian Books like Steve Parish which you see in the Australiana book sections in book shops.

In regards to this book, I will be looking for donations along the way from members, businesses etc to help fund the publishing of the book, and all members etc who donate, contribute will be thanked in the book.

Anyway, I really want to do this, to get away from the big smoke, to breathe some fresh air, to survive by campfires, damper, fishing, etc cant wait!
