I'm a single parent of 3 gr8 kids i love my kids and would do anything for them as would their father but we found that it was easier to be apart and love our kids they stay together and be unhappy, i was a single mum before i met him at a bns ball and now we have two gr8 kids together but for the sake of the kids it is better for them and they know that we both love them very much. But what shits me about being a "single parent" ppl think that we are all lossers and we live on welfair well up theirs i worked up untill 2 weeks before i had my son and went back to work when he was 3mths old and the girls i was great full that i got to spend time at home as my hubby had a gr8 paying job (truckie) but since i have became a "single parent" again i am back at work and loving it even though i hate every minute away from my kids, but be stuffed if i am going to sit back and let the tax payers put food on my table! When i can go out and work.

So cheers to all the single parents who are doin' it hard but doin' it proud for our kids who will love us even if we all stay single for the rest of our lives ( fingers crossed it doesn't come to that) lol

Im a single mum and i have to say you guys are all very strong people. I struggled at the start but now that my son is 18months its got so much easier. I worked up until 2 days b4 i gave birth and i was lucky that i had just got back to melbourne in time otherwise it would of been interesting having him in the territory on a property seeing the way he made his entry into the world. I no longer speak to Dallas dad as its clear that he has moved on and never wanted anything to do with Dallas. It took me ages to understand that and dating well... i havent. I admire all of you for doing what your doing.

I agree 100% you guys are strong as although technically speaking im not a single mum yet 9 weeks to go (hopefully) Im still finding it difficult to head out into the world without being critisised for being at a ute show or being at a BNS ball i am not doing anything that is harming my baby i dont drink so whats the problem im not going to confine myself until i have her. Her dad left when i was 10 weeks pregnant he decided that he no longer wanted to be a dad... funny how he can just switch it off lol. Anyways your all very strong people and i admire you all for doing it tough. I too am still at work and proboably wont leave until i have her ill probably have her at work lol. I also plan to come back about 3 weeks after she is due. SO go for gold guys you are the 21st century aussie battlers

By the way there is definatly nothing wrong with going to a bns or ute show even though u look like u just ate a watermelon. i use to get the same looks cos i went to a rodeo in kathrine NT.. And i can understand the whole man just wanting to turn off. Personally a man who doesnt want to know about his own flesh and blood aint worth the paper he's written on.. Good luck simmy and enjoy motherhood cos its a job like no other.

Speaking as a dad is no longer with my 2yo sons mother, i can tell you that he is everything to me and i love him more than any words could ever say. the time we spend together is the best time of my life and I wish I had him with me all the time.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, though it is not only the males who look at you strangely its also the females snickering behind your back. But with a quick witted remark they soon blush and turn away. He decided that marrage wasnt really for him until he met his now fiance hmmmm doesnt make sense to me they have been together for about 5 months lol good luck to him really.

Yeah it took me ages to come to that conclusion. i was grasping at straws thinking there might still be something there unfortunatly not. but thank god for that cos i saw him ages ago and he's definatly not the person i fell for... simmo im sure u look amazing they are just jealous pregnancy give every woman a great glow only cos after it u really dont feel like glowing for the first week..
