I would say don't do it, from past experiences. You can never predict whether or not you will stay friends if it doesnt work out and you never know whether circumstances could change. My advice would be to keep her as a friend, just because you will still have what you say you want from a relationship (companionship and even love, without the sex) and there is less risk of either of you getting hurt and things turing sour.

i have fallen for a mate.. and we dated for a while but after 6 months or so we realised we werent meant to b together and ended it... but lucky it has made us closer and i couldnt be happier.. if the friendship is strong u can do anything!!

DONT DO IT!!! stay single its a hell of a lot more fun!!! yeah sometimes it gets a bit lonley, but thats what ya mates are for! they keep ya company above anything else!

A little while back i had relations with a chick I consider to be one of my best ever mates. No matter what happened from it we will always be best mates, even if we've both had parts of the experience that may have given us a bit of stress.

Ok now that I have gone back and read what I wrote I can tell you that shortly after I posted this we did get together. And I can tell you I was happy except for the fact that yeah she didn't want it known that we were together (in other words no kind of affection in public). Well after two weeks I thought I would find out where I stood and guess what I got dumped. I got the whole "it was an accident and it shouldn't have happened and just got out of control". Well that nearly destroyed me, but I took it on the chin and still made the effort. I did everything from taking time of work to pick her up and run her around, buy her anything she wanted. We are still average friends (I want to be good friends again but I can't say no to her and I will end up destroying my life for someone I can't have). So yeah basically I am single again/still and am starting to lose faith in the female population by the day. I did meet someone once and offered to get a job up near her (I am not a huge fan of the whole another state/long distance thing) so that we could slowly get to know each other but guess what that failed as well, she bailed out. But it's all good I mean there is not a big demand for relationships with fat ugly blokes anyway
