I agree that you cant love a person unless you know them, how is it possible to love someone if you have no idea about their upbringing, nothing of their background, making them the people they are today, you can not love a person you dont know, and as for saying the ''L'' word after a day, take a good look at yourself cos that should tell you something! does desperate for affection and approval mean anything to these people.

What happened to meeting a person, going out for meals/drinks/whatever, chatting and getting to know a person, meet some of their friends/family before you get in a serious relationship that if you had taken the time to learn about the person you would have realised that it would never have worked anyway. People seem to rush into things and ignore the obvious, trying to make the relationship something it will never be.

This may sound a bit negative but the point is, whats wrong with taking the time to get to know a person, and see if youre suited before jumping in the deep end.
Just my opinion so take it as you will.

We'll I used to think like all of you after countless crap relationships, until.....I met the most perfect man in the world! This feels so different compared to anything else that I have experienced and I love him and he loves me after only a couple of months together! I reckon if it feels right to you then sod everyone else!

I think the when you say you love someone you should mean it, you don't just say it because you want to manipulate their feelings. Generally I think if the LOVE word comes to early in the relationship it might not be 100% accurate. It takes time for a relationship to develop.

dear soph ... no one is saying that you cant be in love ... and as your own words say "i love him and he loves me after only a couple months together " not in love after a day like the titale of the thred says... this thred was started after a few ppl around me where acting like 10 year old kids and telling every one there in love with some one there just meet 2 hours prior and wherent even going out with them ...

I didn't mean to sound so grumpy! I'm just one of those girls who likes to see the good in everything! I belive in love (not after a couple of hours though) and think that people shouldn't abuse the wordas has already been said! I just hate to see people put a time limit on an emotion that can't even be explained.

hmm i think theres a big diff in sayin i love you to a mate or sumone i tll lots of pple i love em but dont mean it in a relationship type way but i think every relationship is diff th guy im with i have known for 6 yrs but we have only been together for 6 mnths so he says it all the time but i dont sya it unless i mean it so it takes awhile

definitely not a fan of the girl that jumps from one bloke to another declaring shes in "love", i think the word gets thrown around a little too lightly. But there i dont think there's a time lmit to it either, wen it happens it happens.
