What is love and how do u know when ya find it?

Ok i wanna know what love means to people and how did they know when they found it??

i thought i was inlove once before and i got hurt so im not really sure if it was love... so now i wanna know what is love???

Love is pretty much finding someone who is a lot like you that you can live with!
Ok so there's a fair bit more to it than that but I think you are better off with someone of similar values to yourself or you can find yourself in a whole world of crap and no friends left to talk to if it all goes pear shaped. Value your mates opinions of the person but don't blindly believe anything. Also if you meet their same sex parent you will get a fair idea of what they will turn out like (ok gross generalisation there).
One last hint for the chicks, being on the pill will affect who you find attractive, there is some complex biochemistry behind it but it boils down to smell. While your body thinks it's pregnant (ie on OCP) your senses are attuned to people with a similar/safe genetic profile. When you are not on the pill (or pregnant) you will find those with a dissimilar genetic profile more attractive. This also varies throughout the normal hormonal cycle - so if you seriously think this person might be the one for you give it a couple of months (cycles) off the pill and see if your attitude changes.

Thats very interesting blundy! What is love? When everytime something happens in your life you instantly want to tell that person. Or when you're having a great time but you catch yourself thinking "it would be better if .....was here". Also, when you cant stop thinking about them and they are on your mind 24/7. It sounds a bit cliche'd but i reckon its true.

i have been inlove once before tho guys with all the same stuff u guys are saying and it got thrown back in my face.. not once but twice, i honestly thought he was the one i loved the one i wanted to spend the rest of my life with now im lost dont know what it is any more...

Ok... I wasn't going to say anything as love for everyone is a different feeling. But here is my 2 cents worth.

Bluey, I have been there before too. Three times I thought that I had found the one that I was to spend the rest of my life with, however due to being young and naive it wasn't meant to be.

I have in the last 4/5 months found someone who after seeing each other almost every day still gives me butterflies whenever I see him. He makes me melt. I catch myself staring out the window thinking about him and what he is doing, if he is thinking about me etc.

He is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with and I know when I thought I was 'in love' before it was more lust.

i think mel has hit the nail on the head.

i have had love thrown back in my face a time or two in the past as well, and it hurts like hell. i think we have all been there really.

but for the last 4 months i have been absolutely swept off my feet (which isn't a bad effort really becasue i am one of the most unromantic people around! lol). i have never felt the way i do now about anyone in the past.

I agree with Mel and I 2nd wot Doc has said. I'm the happiest I have ever been in my whole life now that I have found love. For the past 9 months I have been "in love" and do love my boyfriend very much. I always think about him and what he wants, rather than just worry about little old me all the time. He is "the one" and thankfully he feels the same way. So dont worry Bluey Im sure u will know when u have met "the one", the person whom u do love, and then u will realise just wot love and being "in love" is.

yeah i agree with all the above, and believe that in life you have to get hurt, you have to find out the hard way, so that when you finally do me that someone special you will know it and it won't be like all the others you believed you loved, is a whole different feeling and it really means alot to you...
