My fav was Learmonth....A few reasons, it was my first BnS and everyone I knew was there because it was local! Was bloody cold though!! It was also great how they had two bands, both at either ends of the marquee. When one band stopped for a break the other band started up so there was always great music.

2nd Fav would be Colac... Again, because so many people I knew go there. Bring on Colac next weekend woohoo!

I had t osay Dookie because it was my first ball and when I was a student there you knew so many people going and it continued to be the same after leaving because it was a great place to catch up with ex-students.

I agree with you Milfy about Colac being one of the better bns'. Only a week to go until the next one. I'm sure I'll see you there.

I love Elmore - even though its still in its early days.
Had an absolute blast last year.
The venue they hold it at is great (no crappy portaloo's is such a luxury!) and drinks in cans is always a fave for me (less spillage & stays colder) and the ball just seems to have an atmosphere about it that a few others in vic seem to be lacking these days...

I would've said Lake Bolac and Harrow were tied for equal first place once upon a time......but who knows these days....they're just not the same anymore....pity really.

aaargh here we go!! long message comin up!

Theres no Bendigo B&S... there hasnt ever been one here the rodeo committee were going to try and run one, but it was in the center of town and would never have worked, it was a pie in the sky idea. We only had a uteshow and a rodeo, I ran the uteshow last year, but after the efforts from the rodeo everything from what i herd has now been canceled.

best ball.... well its a toss up,
ELMORE is great, 20mins form home... great venue, drinks, food and TOILETS!!!! verry hot though, and was a bit uncomfortable in the shed last year.

COLAC my first ever B&S, i dont know how many ive been to since, between 30-35 (id have to count the stickers), it definatly got me hooked and i had a great night.

DOOKIES always a great turn out and all my mates are always there, so i always have a good time, just dont like the idea of the BBQ being from 6-8pm i reckon the food coudl be served all night, after havin a belly full of grog and having to build up the ctomich lining again... but then the last 4 dookies ive been to ive missed almost every BBQ theyv'e had cos ive been too buisy runnin around stupid.

RAINBOW is great, nice and small.. people there for a good time, plenty of dancin room and running around feral...

hate to say it tho best B&S ive been to goes to DUBBO (yeah sorry not a VIC ball)... small, but dedicated people, verry diferent form the balls in sousthern NSW and VIC.... open, freash air, and lots of crazy jumping room.... (even if after 12 they did play doof doof music) but then... i like it just because its so diferent!

HARROW has to be by far uncontested the best vic ball!! great loacation good ammenities awesome committee wicked bands and the best recovery in vic!! you cant beat it just down the road from the pub so after recovery u can walk to the pub and keep drinking and its right on the river for the extremly hot years and you dont get half as many dickheads at harrow which is always a bonus.

Elmore is up there for the big ones replacing dookie. Harrow is a top small ball.

Birchip was great (No dress anywhere to been seen on a bloke), but i have only been to a couple of balls now
