I find it a little slow to load but worth the wait when you get there. Once I'm in it seems ok though.
Still a fantastic site with great people involved, real friendly and doing a great job for B&S Balls around Australia. Great to see someone being positive about keeping balls alive.

Not having a go here either...but yeah, it sux being on dial up sometimes...MOST of the time.
My browser dies if I try to visit the site..but hey, hopefully in the not too distant future, I will be able to visit.

Well I am on dial up and the forum works well for me and the home page isnt to bad, the only thing that takes time is the albums and radio show I could never get.

Now the albums on every site are slow for dial up so I dont see the issue

Afraid I've never gotten any further than the home page.. so I can't say how the forum is..
Myspace is the same, some peoples pages, that have videos or music, it just kills my browser.

Guess everyone's computer is different...plus, this iMac 'aint exactly a spring chicken.

Hi everyone

Miss H here from Balls in the Bush.

I've just read through all of the comments, and want to thank everyone for the feedback.

I think we've come a long ways since Kaz found us just a couple of months after we got going, back in February 06.

No worries about the feedback on the site being slow, mainly on dial-up. I used to get on to it at my Mum and Dads (central nsw, and only dial-up) ... yeah it just about drove me batty.

The thing is, when we designed the site we had to make a choice.

We could go more plain and simple, or magazine style.

Magazine style (ie lots of pics and stuff) won out for us.

Yeah, we knew this wouldn't be too hot for dial-up users, but we also knew that better forms of internet are making great inroads around Oz at a rapid rate. So, we were willing to cop a bit of flack on the speed issues.

All that being said, since we started we've chopped and changed different things, with a view to getting better performance. We're always trying something new, so check back in from time to time and see how you go.

I know some of our dial-up users go off and look at other things while they wait for the front page to load ... so maybe that's worth a try. I admire Billy308 for persisting with photo albums ... don't even think I would be up to that on dial-up ... Go Billy!

A big improvement for dialup users is that we now have a brand new forum area. Even though it's attached to our site, it runs separately from our original host and software. What that means is, dial-up users should find it okay to use, as it's just like lots of other forum software round the net. It has lots of info on it about BnS Balls, and like BeautUtes its a great place to make friends with ball goers. So check it out at www.ballsinthebush/bnsforum.cfm ... see what ya reckon. You don't have to join up to look around, only if ya want to post.

Anyway, that's probably enough from me for today. Just want ya to know that I plan to visit here a bit more regularly, and I'll let ya know if there's anything new on BitB that you might want to check out.

One last important thing ... a big thank you to BeautUtes for supporting and believing in BitB, we appreciate that very much.

Online tickets for Toomuc BnS are now available on Balls in the Bush again as well now...appologies for the extra $5 dollars charge for online sales, the vote for the extra $5 on online sales got through despite some objections from some committee members
