Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Re: V8 Supercar 2007 Discussion Went to Winton for Round 4 of the V8s on the weekend - had an awesome time! Had Lowndes and Whincup sign my photos from the Vodafone Pit Crew Challenge at the Clipsal, got Ingall's and Courtney's signatures, got R Kelly's poster, dropped it on the ground, stamped on it, put mud on it and left it in the rain. ![]() What an awesome race by Whincup! The rain wasnt that bad, made for some interesting viewing on the corners - some of the drivers thought that racing meant driving over the grass or like T Kelly, being in the kitty litter most of the time (must be a big pussy!!!!). Cant wait to get there again next year but must remember to get there super early on the Sunday or some ****** takes your fave spot that you had all day Saturday. Oh yeah, having Bundy being sold at the venue made it even better. ![]()

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Re: V8 Supercar 2007 Discussion Hey Ravgirl, hell yeah, love yer werk darls!! Did you spit on R.Kellys poster? I would of....friggin cheater! Can't believe his little stunt comin off at turn 4 and then comin back on the tack at turn 8 in front of guys who were in front of him...how cheeky is that!!!! Seems to be the trend with v8s, Sunday is always the biggest day and yeah, i get to Barbagello at about 5am here in Perth every year on the Sunday or else you don't get your good spot for the day and yeah, i was stoked bout the rum thing too....they had the massive blow up bundy can on top of the alcohol van, i soooo wanted to take it home! haha C'MON FORD!!! So proud of Whincup and Winterbottom is driving relatively well this year too....how exciting, the fresh talent is shining through, its going to be an interesting year. Just hope we can keep bein competitive against those dam toll cars for the rest of the season! I have a friend who just raced for John Bowe racing in the development series last weekend, he is 35, qualified 8th then got 10th in the top 10 shootout due to a slight mistake then finished 8th in race 1 and then got up to 6th in race 2 but ended up finishing 7th then got up to 4th in race 3 but he went to overtake someone without realising they were under a yellow flag so he got black flagged and had to do a drive through, ended up finishing 17th in that race and 8th overall for the round....HELL YEAH!!! I'm so proud of him! Considering the top 15 drivers are proffessionals and he's just a mechanic who has owned the latest fords for the past 10 years or so, done a few drag meets, days at barbagello and won a street race with Skaife a few years back, thats a god dam good effort on his behalf! I hope to see him at Bathurst this year and after a result like that on his first round, i wouldn't be surprised if he gets there..if not this year but next. They have already invited him back to do simmons plains....GO PETE!!! LOVE ME :-) |

![]() | Re: V8 Supercar 2007 Discussion From stuff.co.nz Team Kiwi Racing denies owing money NZPA | Tuesday, 5 June 2007 Team Kiwi Racing (TKR) owner David John says his team will "definitely compete" at the weekend's Australian V8 Supercar round at Eastern Creek despite Ford Performance Racing (FPR) terminating its contract. An Australian Associated Press report from Sydney yesterday said TKR would not compete at the weekend because of their failure to meet the financial terms of an agreement with FPR. The report said TKR owed several hundred thousand dollars to FPR. But Auckland-based John reacted angrily last night. "We definitely will be there. There's a whole lot of rumours going on in Australia, which we're getting pretty pissed off with – all about us being bankrupted," he said. "I'm sick of (it), don't need it." "I categorically deny that we owe FPR any money and we'll be at Eastern Creek at the weekend." FPR commercial director Rob Barrett said the matter was with their lawyers. "It's regarding an agreement between TKR and FPR we've had during the year to run their car and unfortunately TKR haven't met the obligations and we've had to terminate the contract. "We haven't spoken to TKR. "The deal was terminated last Friday meaning there is no relationship between FPR and TKR as of May 31," Barrett told AAP. John said FPR was finding excuses to terminate their contract. "There's obviously something going on there (Australia), but I don't know what it is yet. I'm sure I'll pick up on it tomorrow," he said. "If somebody's going to give you a termination letter, it would be nice for them to speak to you first." "They're saying we're in breach of a contract and using the excuse that we owe them money. Now, we've had our solicitors come in specially yesterday and gone through everything. We do not owe them one cent." The single-car TKR have been in a financial bind since last year's Bathurst 1000 when driver Paul Radisich crashed the team's Holden Commodore into a tyre wall at about 200kph, flipping the car on its roof. The roof had to be cut off to get Radisich out and the car was written off. TKR switched from Holden to Ford at the beginning of this season and Radisich has driven the team to 16th on the overall standings after four rounds. |

![]() | Re: V8 Supercar 2007 Discussion Radisich quits V8's Team Kiwi Racing Tuesday Jun 5 17:38 AEST Team Kiwi Racing's (TKR) driver Paul Radisich has quit the team, but owner David John is adamant he will have a car in this weekend's round of the V8 Supercar series at Eastern Creek. John said he had four or five drivers in mind and a car available but he would not say whether it was a Ford or a Holden. Radisich said he had terminated his contract with TKR following the team's fallout with Ford Performance Racing (FPR) that ran the car on behalf of TKR. "TKR is in breach of contract and I have therefore terminated my contract with immediate effect," Radisich said in a statement from his Melbourne base. advertisement He would not comment further. "I couldn't care less if Paul wants to go somewhere else," John said. "If that's his decision, how loyal is he to all the people who had busted their butts to get him back on the grid after last year's Bathurst result?" The single-car TKR have been in a financial bind since last year's Bathurst 1000 when Radisich crashed the team's Holden Commodore into a tyre wall at about 200kmh, flipping the car on its roof. The roof had to be cut off to get Radisich out and the car was written off. TKR switched from Holden to Ford at the beginning of this season and Radisich has driven the team to 16th on the overall standings after four rounds despite missing the first round. John said there were plenty of drivers around. "We've got four or five - anyone will jump into a V8 Supercar regardless of what car it is." He said Radisich hadn't shown any commitment to the team by quitting when the team needed him. "It shows a total lack of appreciation for everybody else who bent over backwards to ensure that he was the driver in the car after Bathurst." On Monday, FPR commercial director Rod Barrett said FPR had terminated its contract with TKR. "It's regarding an agreement between TKR and FPR we've had during the year to run their car and unfortunately TKR haven't met the obligations and we've had to terminate the contract," Barrett said. John insists the obligations were not financial, saying: "We don't owe FPR one cent." John said he spoke to Radisich on Monday night before his decision to quit. "He said to me he was disappointed with the FPR deal and would come back to us to talk about it, but now he's put it out on the media that he's terminated his contract." Radisich has been TKR's driver for over two years. ©AAP 2007 |

![]() | Re: V8 Supercar 2007 Discussion FPR have locked up the Falcon in their workshop and will not release it to TKR. The Rat has walked away and terminated his contract. FPR say TKR owes the money (6 figures worth), TKR say they do not. The Rat has left because he has not been paid, TKR say he's asking for payments he's not entitled to (ie. those months off after his crash). TKR will have no car for this weekend. Bye Bye Team Kiwi I suspect. |

| Re: V8 Supercar 2007 Discussion Go Team Vodafone! I seen all the action right in front of pit lane today, the best day ever! What about Rick Kelly & Garth Tander- was not their day. They had real trouble with them brakes.
