So what cowboys / Cowgirls out there have ever ridden a Bull or a wild horse?

I rode a wild steer at school? with a halter on? does that count?

in a rodeo it is fun..
but to ride a wild or as i know them, unbroken horse otherwise, is ok,but then i was breaking them in at the time and didnt really have the time to consider wether it was fun or not, it was a job...

Rode another lately, like thursday arvo thats not been ridden, (other than a 5 minute hop on a few yrs ago,) for over 6 yrs that we know of, and he was running wild, litterally too, b4 that...but for me it was annoying as he had no idea what i was doing and now he's just a complete rebreak and re-educate job...

As for rodeo riders, well they are not just ppl that have no idea and go out for fun, they have to have an idea of what there doing or they could end up seriously hurt, not to mention the damage they could do to the horses...
and when it comes to bulls, well if you never been on a steer then dont get on a bull, or you will get hurt bad...

But all in all, it can be great fun, when riding at a rodeo,...worse bit for me is i will never be able to again....

PS the landings can be bloody hard too...rofl...

hive ridin once before it's a big rush although it was only a second div bull still a big rush you no your alive. Will be getting into it a bit more next year just gotta hit the gym to strengthin up my neck muscels and all that.

hhmmmm what can I say

I have ridden bulls for lots of years, and broke in horses.... Im unable to ride bulls now due to having my shoulder rebuilt, 4 opps in the last 3 months plus 2 infection's, and now having rehab on the shoulder and arm.... but even after this i still dont regret my days on the bulls, i see it as more than a sport, its a lifestyle. and if my body could handle still i would still be doing it.

Man that would be tough, im into rallying and i know if i couldnt be in that id hate it, but like u said id have no regrets.... my mate charlie always wants to go bull ridin again, but i dont think he will hes all married up and the like now... u still go to them im sure

um... no never done it, probably never will.
im so uncoordinated i have trouble staying on my own feet sometimes! lol

Mutton busters (in the paddock!) is the closest I've come! And a pig rootin' horse. Wouldn't mind trying it (once!) just for the rush and to say 'done that'. But it wouldn't be a big arse bull I'd be getting on!

Yeah done mutton bustin' in the sheep yards when I was young!! Might break the sheeps back now though! I would have to say that the mechanical bull is the closest I have come to bull riding though!

never done it not even an electric bull. did get on a horse though when first learning to ride and a colt decided he wanted to mount her while i was learning. ahhh not real fun i can tell u. thats about as close as i get. looks like a bit of fun though.
