| Re: ANZAC Day Up at 3.30 am to get ready in 10th Lt Horse uniform and head out to Port Kennedy for the Dawn Service. Then off down to Mandurah to ride Bundy (a horse) in the parade and represent the Light Horse. Home for a couple hours to fix me horse up who had an argument with some wire (ringlock, thank christ) and lost. Off to work at 5pm back to Mandurah to pull out the traffic control over the Mandyrah bypass bridge. Home at 12 midnight give or take. Guess it was a pretty full day huh.

| Re: ANZAC Day I was very disappointed not being able to go to dawn service (there are only a few things I get out of bed at that tie for!!) but had to drive to Kal that day so needed sleep-in. Spent the day in cruiser that ran hot all the bloody way to Kal. 7 1/2 hour trip that took 9 1/2 hours arrrrgggh! | |

| Re: ANZAC Day one of the local towns up here decided toput on a dusk service instead of a dawn one. I think the last time they had only three people rock up but with the dusk one this year they had over 200 and there was a bbq to follow which rasied money for charity. good idea I reckon. it was pretty disgraceful seeing footage of the way that Gallipolli was left. good on those that made the treck but they could have taken their rubbish with them to the nearest bin. maybe next year they will provide more bins. anyway. thanks to all those who fought for our country. we may not be here if it wasn't for you guys. | |
