Re: Overheating problems

a common problem with this and simular models is the narow tubes used in the radiator cores

ist question are you in a hard water area ie: r u using dam water or river water to fill up the radiator ??

there may be a calsiam build up in the tubes if this is the case ...!

i do a lot of outback charity bashes and i find some of the water out back is not suitable for washing in never mind puting in a radiator attachedc to an alloy head engine

i eventualy overcame my overheating problems by fitting a custom made 3 core radiator with larger diamiter tubes even on the hottest days i never get hot
also a little trick i have done to my EF falcon is i fitted a bonnet vent which allows the excess heat to vent out and thus it has lowered the under bonnet ( engine bay) temp by over 40C. my EF no longer cooks batterys at 12 month intervals ( nothing else changed only added vents
