and the thing about the country/city thing at the OBH. true as well. i know i'm making a huge generilazation here with this but my classification of these city people is.......they are not like minded people. you have the people that live in the city but generally enjoy the same thing as most other people do at utemusters etc. this is not who i am talking about. the ones i mean are the ones that come for a look at what all the fuss is about, they can see people having a good time and want to be in on it too. fine if they come with the right attitude.
of all the balls i used to go to not once did i see a fight started by a country person. usually if something happens it ends up with a shaking of hands and an offer of getting the next drink. all good really. not everyone gets on but generally there is the whole thing of agreeing to disagree.
one bad one i saw was with a guy from the city and a few other guys. city boy was trying to "sell his wares" to a chick and the other boys saw it. they didn't take to kindly to it, saying 'we don't need your type of $hit here so push off'. when he didn't want to they got a bit pushy and city boy was up for a fight. didn't take long for security to intervene and as soon as they did the boys backed off and city boy was escorted out. end of story. everyone went back to having a good time. this is what i like about balls, everyone's your mate. i don't know how many times i have been the "hair holder" to some random chick who seemed to have lost her mates. i don't mind, be good to know that someone would do that for me if i was in the same situation.
