hell yeah!
there was a chick walking round at deni with a serious attitude. some guy said something to her (as they do) and her reply was something like go back to where you come from we don't need you here. all of us felt like pulling her aside and saying, well yes you do actually. the whole reason that the utemuster at deni come about was to raise revenue for the community and now look at it. every utester knows about deni and they all have been or have plans of going.
billy is right about the money going back into the community. same thing went for balls at one stage too. there aren't many balls here in SA any more because of various reasons, mostly the insurance. they used to be big revenue raisers for the community.
i really don't know why some people have such a big whinge about this. it's for one weekend out of the year for goodness sake.
and when you stop for petrol on the way to a uteshow or ball or whatever; how many people just get fuel? you always buy something else as well. think of the people that benefit on the trip to your destination as well.
