| Re: The Hoon Laws okay here's my thoughts on the topic. some of you may agree some of you may disagree but just remember that these are MY thoughts and i know that everyone won't think the same.
i saw a story on 7 news one night where they have hoon laws in the states (LA i think) that if you get caught the third time your car is confiscated and then crushed. i seriously thnk that that is something they should consider for here in australia cos so far the current laws aren't working as people are constantly flouting the laws. i live near a roundabout and there are always ppl doing burnouts around it and there have been several near misses of cars almost ending up in our front yard. i'm yet to see one person pulled over by the cops cos they're never around. now i'm certainly not saying that it's their fault as i know they can't be there all the time. i suspect that the only way we're going to put a dent in the hoons on the road is to go back to horse and carriage! |
