Hey Soph I know how it is mate. I am away from home at least 14 hours in a day, 6 days a week. Night time and Sunday is the only time I have with my mate.
I took my dog to the first camp out. Dogs are allowed at the dam but they should be kept an eye on. Apparently they bait the area. My dog had a ball and I didn't hear any complaints about him being there.
I personally will most likely not be attending this camp out as I will probably be working but my main reason is that I am also becoming less than impressed with the judgemental attitude of some Jesters members. I thought these get togethers was for those who appreaciate the ozzy icon "THE UTE". Whether they own one at the time should not even come into question. Not everybody can just walk out and get a ute. Some of us have had to wait a bloody long time to get our dream!
Just in this thread alone it has been said that no cars or bikes allowed. Is this not being judgemental on what people drive? There were cars there last year. One of them was mine. Rousey had his Ford sedan there. I did not hear any complaints. Then there is the comment that "dogs might be a bad idea". I enjoyed the camp last year and was looking forward to another one but I for one will not spend my weekend with such judgemental people.
